Cleanslate is actively recruiting a Lead CDL Driver to join our warehouse team in Rahway, NJ. Required Skills:
Class CDL A or CDL-B with Hazmat Endorsement
Ability to operate stand alone electric jack and/or forklift
Basic understanding of DOT rules and regulations
Basic understanding of safe handling of Hazardous material
Strong computer skills
Organized and high attention to detail
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Ability to regularly lift and move at least 50lbs
Able to work outside in all weather conditions

Responsibilities and Tasks:

50-60% spent on the road, 40-50% admin or other work
Maintain up to date vehicle maintenance records in Verizon and ensure proper scheduling and rotation of required vehicle preventative maintenance
Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance of all vehicle equipment and report any needed service (pallet jacks, forklifts etc.)
Assist when needed with vehicle loading and ensure proper training and execution of all loading performed by Warehouse Associates

Driver training

• Train new employees on overall delivery policies and processes.
• Provide additional training for employees who need to improve their skills or performance.
• Train drivers on safe and fuel-effective driving practices
• Monitor driver behavior utilizing (route4me and Verizon applications)
• Assist in providing Safety and compliance training drivers
• Train and oversee drivers on proper return process

DOT Administrative Support
Remain on-call for any last-minute driver call out coverage
Assist with vehicle movement, parking and/or drop off or pick up of vehicles
Preferred Not Required: bilingual

Schedule
M-F 9AM-6PM
Some overtime
May be asked to cover route
